How to Set Up and Use Roadmaps in Savio

Savio helps you build evidence-based product roadmaps. That means using your feedback and feature requests and customer data to drive product strategy decisions.

Here’s how to set up, manage, and share roadmaps. We’ll cover:

Note: Some Roadmap features may only be available on specific Savio plans. Check out Savio’s pricing page for details.

Why use roadmaps?

Product roadmapping helps you define and communicate your product strategy.

  • It can help align your internal teams and unite everyone around a common vision for your software. Ultimately, that means more effective team collaboration.

  • It can help tell your customers what to expect from your product in the future. Ultimately, that can mean better sales, conversion rates, and retention.

Savio’s roadmaps are designed to bring you those benefits. Our roadmapping feature helps you connect product feedback and feature requests from your customers with a visual roadmapping strategy document. You can share that document publicly with your customers or can keep it private among your internal teams.

Here are some potential use cases for the roadmaps:

  1. Share your product vision internally. Share your product roadmap with all your internal teams and stakeholders, such as your executives, Engineering team, Sales, Customer Success, Customer Support, Marketing, and more. That way, everyone knows what features to expect.

  2. Justify product decisions. Imagine you’re in a Sales meeting and someone asks you why you’re building Feature A over Feature B. Your roadmap lets you justify the decision with evidence. It shows the number of requests and revenue associated with each feature, and you can drill into each feature to look at the verbatim feedback. Tying your roadmap directly to customer feedback is a powerful way to communicate the evidence and justify product decisions.

  3. Share your product vision externally. You may want to show your customers that you’re listening to their requests and using them to make product decisions. You can share a public roadmap with them so that they can see that you’re constantly improving the product and taking feature requests seriously.
